The Influence of Teacher Efficacy on 21st Century Pedagogy

This paper explores the influence of teacher efficacy in classroom management, student involvement, and teaching strategy on 21st century pedagogical practice. A total 201 teachers from schools implementing International Baccalaureate-Middle Year Program (IBMYP) Secondary School Standard Curriculum (KSSM) Perlis, Kelantan, Penang were selected through cluster sampling purposive sampling. Data collected using an instrument adapted Teacher’s Sense Efficacy Scale (TSES) with 24 items that measure three dimensions efficacy, namely strategy. Teachers’ pedagogy this study was measured West Virginia Century Teaching Learning Survey, which has been modified into five main 22 items. These are critical thinking, collaboration, communication, creativity innovation, information technology. analyzed Smart Partial Least Squares 3.0 Statistical Package for Social Sciences 22.0 software. Analysis showed effectiveness teachers’ influences significantly. In contrast, management involvement does not significantly shows is ability to control behavior manage according lesson planning, contribute Similarly, practice, possibly due dense curriculum large number students classroom.
